Kreinik Ombre is an 8-ply, softly twisted
metallic thread.
Due to its loose twist, it looks 'furry,' creating a
whole new dimension to your fine stitching. Ombre is gorgeous
in a satin stitch.
Kreinik Ombre' should only be dry cleaned. Do not hand or machine wash Ombre'.
Tips on using Kreinik Ombre' in hand work:
Ombre' comes on a snap-spool mechanism. Both sides of the Ombre' thread spool
open. Find the side where the thread end is located. Insert your thumbnail
under the cap, and rotate the spool while gently lifting the cap to release the
thread (do not try to pop off the cap - it just lifts). Snap the lid shut to
secure when you have released the amount of Ombre Thread needed.
Use short lengths of thread-about 18 inches or less-to avoid excessive
wear on the thread and for greater control.
Use a needle large enough to spread the fibers in the fabric to sufficiently
allow Ombre to go through easily.
